TRIO Programs:The Upward Bound Project EDGE (Exploration and
Determination Guarantees Excellence) program is designed to provide
opportunities for fundamental support to participants in their
preparation for college entrance. The goal is to increase the rate
at which participants complete high school education and graduate
from institutions of post-secondary (college and technical)
education. Our goal is to recruit participants into the Upward
Bound program, retain them, graduate them, and get them ready for
post-secondary education admittance and graduation.The
Opportunity:Project EDGE is seeking a Math Instructor at the high
school level to work with Project EDGE (Edgewater High School)
scholars for the six (6) week summer program (June to July) to
promote the total growth of the students as a primary objective, at
Edgewater High School and the University of Central Florida. The
Instructor is responsible for implementing dynamic, engaging, and
empowering academic courses.This is a unique job opportunity for
people who enjoy working with students and who have experience in
teaching mathematics. They will work up to 25 hours per week at
$24.00 per hour, Monday through Thursday with occasional Fridays
for trips.Responsibilities:
Minimum Qualifications:Bachelors degree or an equivalent
combination of education and experience pursuant to and 1+ year
experience working with high school students.Preferred
Qualifications:

pass Level 1 and 2 background check per UCF requirements for
working with minor youth.The selected candidate must be available
to chaperone at least one trip.The schedule for this temporary
position is:June 2 -27, 2025 (7:45 am - 12:00 pm) & July 7-9, 2025
