Senior Software/Cloud Engineer (TypeScript/Node/AWS) - Hybrid in Orlando, FL
Optomi, in partnership with a market leader in the entertainment industry is seeking a Senior Software/Cloud Developer for a hybrid position of out their Orlando, FL office. This candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining a data platform that will assist with operational management processes. This project will track and analyze guest flow, including monitoring the number of visitors per hour and their interactions with attractions and facilities.

  Experience of the right candidate:
  • Bachelors and/or Masters in STEM or equivalent in relevant experience.
  • 6+ years of coding and software development experience, with focus on highly scalable, high-volume applications and/or platforms.
  • Experience with AWS serverless development and cloud infrastructure, JavaScript and/or TypeScript, stream processing.
  • Strong understanding of microservices, RESTful APIs.
  • Strong expertise in design principles, patterns, and coding best practices.
  • Familiarity with database platforms (e.g. Aurora), NoSQL (e.g. MongoDB, DynamoDB), graph databases, mobile applications (iOS and Android).
    Responsibilities of the right candidate:
    • Develop and maintain a data platform to assist with operational management, wait time estimation, and facility insights.
    • Track and analyze guest flow, including monitoring the number of visitors per hour and their interactions with attractions and facilities.
    • Contribute to the custom-built platform from the ground up, ensuring it meets the needs of efficient operation.
    • Collaborate with the existing core team and integrate with mobile, web, and cloud core components.
    • Bring a broad skill set to the team, with a willingness to work across various aspects of the platform.
    • Engage in ongoing development and enhancement of the platform's features and functionalities.
